Schedule Change Requests

The following information is outlined in the WOHS 2018-2019 Student Handbook

Schedule Changes (Located on page 76).

Students are expected to make informed and wise decisions during the course selection process. It is important that students and parents give careful consideration to selecting courses. The choices students make during course selection determine the Master Schedule of course offerings available. The Master Schedule, though never perfect, is designed to maximize student opportunities and minimize scheduling conflicts. Student schedules will not be changed to select different teachers. Once a class schedule is formulated, the student is expected to follow that schedule. There will be a deadline for changes in late spring shortly before the last day of instruction. Students had until the last day of school to submit those schedule changes. Few, if any changes will be made at Registration.

In order for a schedule change to take place, the request MUST meet 1 of the following requirements as outlined in the Student Handbook. Those requirements are as follows:

  • A student is in a class for which he/she has already received credit
  • A student needs to be moved to balance classes
  • A student’s schedule has the same course listed twice or is missing a class

Requests to level up (by teacher recommendation ONLY) or level down will ONLY be made at the end of the 2nd week of the school year and after the first semester.
